Sense might sound like a simple word, but it is not. To me, sense is a very important matter. Many people ask me about how to achieve a good sense, and I think a good sense can be developed through observation, understanding of the basic principle of design (ie. space, color theory, composition) and through experiment.

The perception of a good sense or understanding of a good sense might vary due to different people’s perspective or taste. Different cultures, lifestyles, living environment and education might effect your sense. Therefore, when one talk about sense it is very much subjective.

Now, try to open your eyes and think of an example of a good sense out there that you want to adopt or be closely linked with. Then, ask yourself why do you think that is a good sense of style? What attributes makes it a good or bad sense. When you analyze things in depth, you will adopt those senses.
