Back in December, in his last major interview, Jack Bogle had advice for investors that were prepping for 2019.

He called pulling out of the market completely “a really dumb strategy,” and added that he had never seen stock market volatility like this in his 66-year career.

Instead, he said it’s time “to really be thinking how much risk you want to have” and make some defensive moves by considering fixed income strategies and bonds.
