Welcome to the Infinite Love Party, a celebration of queer people, people of color and their allies, hosted at the @BushwickStarr theater in Brooklyn, New York. It’s a party, not a play, organized by @ohyeadiana, who is 32 and probably best known as the creator and lead performer of the protest piece “{my lingerie play}.” When the #nytimes writer Laura Collins-Hughes attended a kind of dress rehearsal for the event, which is focused on affirmation and affection, it was part sexy (there’s no alcohol, but they had “Aphrodisiac Tea”), part crunchy (dinner is potluck), part return to childhood (with finger painting, swings and — a hallmark of a Diana Oh event — plenty of bubbles to blow). “This would never happen where I’m from,” said Lexie Bean, a nonbinary transgender children’s author who grew up in Michigan, but lives in Queens, New York. @vnina shot this photo of Diana at the event.
