From the bottle to the top - Here’s how to properly recycle plastic bottle caps.

Recycling can be confusing, especially when rules at local recycling facilities can differ.
If you’re unsure whether or not you can recycle bottle tops in your general recycling, begin by asking your local facility if they accept them.

No luck? If you’re unable to recycle them locally, Lush will accept smaller plastic bottle tops, like the ones you get on milk bottles and juice cartons. This does not include chunkier lids like those on instant coffee jars as they will not fit through our machine.

These lids will then be cleverly transformed by pressing them into colourful boards that can be used to make furniture and wall cladding for Lush shops and offices. This is a separate process to our black pots.

Simply return your bottle tops to your local Lush shop. Alternatively you can send them back via freepost. Simply address the envelope to "Freepost LUSH GREENHUB" and please remember to properly seal your envelopes to prevent stray caps getting lost in the post. As the Greenhub is only a small facility, it can’t accept large amounts of bottle tops from businesses, communities or schools. The maximum capacity for the freepost service is 2KG.
