William Stephenson backed me up on piano countless times and even on my first stand up special, “Lounge Lizards”. He had great comedic timing. He was almost always miserable. We also played poker together for years and he delighted in taking all my hard earned road money. He would MC a lot at the Comedy Cellar and shake his head in disgust when he realized Attell & I were about to go on and delay his trip home —which is where he passed away —probably doing what he loved... complaining. I’m gonna miss this funny grump.
