WOW!! CleverDever Wherever was just awarded GOLD for BEST Independent Travel Blog 2018 by the North American Travel Journalists Association!!! I’m in disbelief!
In 2015, after traveling for a decade+ I felt so compelled to write it down, share stories of other people and cultures and, let’s face it, help you figure out where to eat. ??????? And my blog was born. #originstory
Through it all, my dream was to share my passion for this planet, my love for the good in humanity, and help take some of the common fears of the unknown out of the equation for others.
And while traveling is thrilling and meeting people around the world is exciting, sitting at your computer day in and day out editing photos and writing paragraph after paragraph can be isolating.
Sometimes I sit and wonder “is this thing on?” I feel like I’m typing into the ether, my words disappearing as fast as I assemble them, never to be read by anyone.
So this, this honor, this commendation, this moment of validation that I’m not just typing into a void, and that my work is pretty good...it’s just the thing to remind me to KEEP GOING.
What we do matters. All of us. Thank you to everyone who has read my stories, watched my videos, liked my photos, and traveled virtually with me over the years.
