Compared to other birds, they have a much denser and more uniform set of feathers, allowing them to reach incredible speeds underwater. An emperor penguin can significantly increase its speed by releasing tiny bubbles from its feathers in bursts, which reduces friction and propels it up to three times as fast as their normal speed.
