This week's #WCW is the talented and trailblazing @yalitzaapariciomtz … who is soon to be a household name for her debut performance in Alfonso Cuarón's movie "Roma". New to the acting scene, Aparicio was quick to make history as the first indigenous Mexican woman to be nominated for an Oscar.  More importantly, her role in "Roma" has sparked incredibly important conversation about the status of Mexico's indigenous people that she proudly represents. She is breaking stereotypes and showing the world that anyone can aspire to be in movies or on the cover of magazines. “People are knowing other faces of Mexico ― it’s something that makes me so happy and proud of my roots,” she explains. Her performance is haunting and layered. She is a star. Not a star in the making but a bonafide star! I can’t wait to follow her career and watch her shine!
