Acupuncture. Graston. Dry needling. Massage. Hydration. Nutrition. Positivity. Bubble baths. Foam rolling. Stretching. Strength work.
These are all part of my weekly activities of maintaining a healthy body. But sometimes it still doesn’t work - particularly with my back.
As a teenager I had a traumatic climbing injury that left 4 of my vertebrae fractured and triggered degenerative discs that often herniate into the vertebrae themselves. Even typing this makes me cringe, but not more than the pain itself. It’s one of the obstacles that I have to face while I’m working on getting my strength back from being out for so long. I push and my back pushes back, more right now than it has in quite sometime.
Again, patience is being asked of me. And luckily I learned a whole lot about patience, particularly in the last year. ? #cestlavie
