Also, thank you to @avn for inducting me into the Hall of Fame this year. Porn has been the longest (and most successful) romantic relationship of my life thus far, and I’m so happy and honored to be a woman going down in history this way. Before I got into the business at 23, I didn’t know much about the industry itself - I wasn’t an avid porn watcher, and I wasn’t familiar with production companies or the names of stars. The AVN Awards on Showtime were just about the extent of my Porno knowledge. Coming from a background that didn’t always encourage or appreciate female displays of sexuality, I was fascinated to see these women on television being celebrated for their fearless sluttiness. I knew that I wanted to be a part of this world; to explore the bounds of my sexuality; exhibit copious amounts of sex, create a product people would get off on, and make a living doing it. I am so grateful to have found my sanctuary in porn, despite how others may judge or assume.
