How do I say to my friend @jussiesmollett that we are better then this when he was savagely attacked, humiliated and beaten, and hospitalized simply for being himself. How do I explain that to him? How do we all prove that we are better then this to him, and to ourselves?
Heal my friend and meet the darkness with love, as you have no doubt done time and again. I am sickened and saddened. We must be better then this. For all of our sakes. For the future of our children. For our neighbors. For our loved ones. For our souls.
