We thank @Amata Chittasenee for this but more importantly we just want to mention about the silk outfit. In her own words " lately i have been working with a lot of local communities in the country side of Thailand who produce silk for a living. As we all know , with tech , trends and fast fashion we can explore many things online and as a new generation we tend to forget our cultures and we sometimes think think that people in the past were old aged and unfashionable.We want to buy stuff fast and online right now. But for the last year i have been traveling to different villages and communities to learn about the silk and to see how people live outside of the social media bubble. It was a happy moment for me to understand about the silk and how we are able to keep the tradition and help support those local communities. I want to help promote the product internationally and do that by taking a piece of fabric to make everyday clothes." ⠀
Its a good story that is not lost on us at Underground.The idea of traditional manufacture in a world of mass consumption needs more support and real action.
