How can artificial intelligence transform future connections between people and art? The Met recently collaborated with @Microsoft and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (@MITpics) to imagine new ways in which global audiences can engage with The Met collection through AI technologies. ⁣⁣

The Met x Microsoft x MIT collaboration resulted in several prototypes, in various stages of development, each of which provide new perspectives on how AI could transform future connections between people and art. The collaboration marks the second anniversary of The Met’s Open Access Program, which has made 406,000 high-res images and data from The Met collection available for use without restriction.
