I posted a few of these earlier, hidden in swipe photos, but this particular page in my newly acquired Passport TN is special to me. I chose the word “metamorphosis” to stamp into the blank frame because that’s what this current season entails for me. After a year past of so many changes from my father’s passing, marrying my soulmate, moving across the country, and finding my footing with it all along with the throes of life with its spectrum of bliss, joy, trials and tribulations, I found myself retreating into hollows of my own cocoon. I’ve been there for awhile, and I’ve felt new wings forming, the juxtaposed tension of muscles building within the confines of hard walled layers. They say right before a butterfly emerges its wings bleed as they’re strengthening until it is able to break out of the shell it has lived in. Their wings need to go through that process in its own time without premature escape so as to dance with the wind rather than be crushed by its force. The transformation from crawling caterpillar to bountiful butterfly. This is my season. And I’m thankful for it and that I have such a wonderful company of kindred spirits here who I can share glimpses of this process with. Thank you all from my heart for that. .
