Thumbs up and a BIG thank you to these humane and ethical companies who truly care about the welfare of all animals by speaking out against declawing! @bissellpets - They do not give funding or grants to any rescue/shelter that declaws cats. @thelitterrobot - Litter robot and their veterinarian wrote a great story with the facts about declawing and about the easy, humane options! https://www.litter-robot.com/blog/2018/07/16/why-not-to-declaw-and-alternatives/ @petcofoundation /@petco - Last year we privately and respectfully reached out to them to ask them to please not allow any of their Adoption Partners to condone or perform declawing! They immediately reached out to one of their Adoption Partners, an animal rescue that was advertising and performing declawing on their rescued cats who were up for adoption and the animal rescue stopped doing that and took the declawing info off their website! . If you know of any other companies who have taken a stand to be part of the solution to help end declawing, please send them my way! [email protected] . We want to add more companies to our list! We are excited about what @pets ppliesplus told us in Nov. 2018. They said, "We are currently in the process of updating our adoption partner guidelines for 2019 and expect that we will be working to phase-out any adoption groups that pro-actively declaw or dock/crop pets they offer for adoption." They told us it would be done in January 2019 and that they put this high on their list of things to do! ?❤️ Hopefully we will hear back from PSP soon that their guidelines are updated and we can give you the good news and add PSP to this list!
