Black History Month: ‪Diana Ross‬: The Boss

Miss ‪Diana Ross‬ is a triple threat… singer, actress and record producer.
She rose to fame as the lead singer of ‪The Supremes‬ which were the 1960’s Motown’s most successful act, and are the best charting girl group in US history, as well as one of the world’s best selling girl groups of all time.
As she embarked on her solo career in the 70’s she stayed on top of her game and not only on top of the music charts but in acting as well, as she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award for her performance in the film "‪Lady Sings the Blues‬”, Named the “Female Entertainer of the Century” by Billboard magazine and in 1993, and the Guinness Book of World Records declared her as the most successful female music artist in history with a career of 70 hit singles with her work with ‪the Supremes‬, and as a solo artist.
She is a 12-time Grammy nominee, never earning a competitive honor, but later became the recipient of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. ‪Diana Ross we salute you.‬
