This young specimen was rescued near the island of Semirara and rehabilitated by Ronnie Estrellada and his team at the breeding center of Semirara Mining and Power Corporation. Found mostly in shallow waters in the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic oceans, this species has been overcollected for the ornamental and medicinal value of their scales. #hawksbill #Semirara #PhotoArk
