Despite some bumps in the road- this event ended up turning out to be a pretty special moment. Bigger than what it was billed as. Tonight I saw people coming together and supporting a sister that was heartbroken and embarrassed because she felt she failed in putting together her event. She stood before a crowd of friends and strangers with tears running down her face and humbly admitted that she was way over budget and crushed that she let folks down. What happened next was far more touching than anything on the screens for the Grammy viewing party. And I have to admit I was shocked at how supportive and kind everyone was. Tonight I got to see the other side- the side that actually hires people like me to host and make personal appearances and see THEIR struggles and stress. It was eye opening to say the least. The young lady I’m talking about wiped her tears and addressed the crowd to warm applause and the party continued beautifully. And guess what? People stayed as enjoyed the beautiful event/ in that gorgeous event space! . Life ain’t perfect nor is it black and white. And sometimes we gotta pay attention to those grey areas and just try to understand. Emotional night for sure. Shout out to @missmilanzoe and @eliseneal for being troopers ????????????❤️
