The other day, I made my way out to the Sierras to photograph the snowy scenes that had fallen upon Yosemite Valley. I was hoping more than anything to witness a beautiful sunset, and nature delivered. Along the banks of the Merced River, the cold air began to break apart the clouds, revealing a glowing El Capitan backdropped by a brilliant pink sky. As the fog began to rise over the river, even the snow and water absorbed the saturated colors. Scenes such as this are worth the frozen fingers and toes!
