5 years ago, around this time... I was in NYC auditioning for New York University for their Musical Theatre program. Of course assuming one day I would be on Broadway. I thought I was a shoo-in with all my years of commitment and training. My greatest fears and failures were realized in April of that year when I didn’t get into the program/ college of my dreams. I’ve never publicly shared this story - but I wanted to... because for a long time when I came to NYC I was sad and would think of the life I “could have had” or “wanted” and failed at achieving. Now 5 years later I know my heart and talents don’t belong here. They reside inside me and I get to share them with all of you while I travel ALL over the world. Trust the universe - they got you, and will always push you in the right direction. But also... love you, New York.
