Day 1 of deload. 90/115. This is a pretty typical start of deload training session for me. We’ve found that my body performs better with a little more stimulus a few days out rather than a longer deload like a lot of lifters do. Then we taper more each day from there. Everyone tapers a bit differently. I didn’t feel particularly great today & I almost NEVER do at this phase of training (like I can’t think of a single time I have). I’ll show you how I deload as we lead up to comp on Sunday! But a nice reminder: don’t do things just because you saw someone do it on the internet. Do your (real) research, find a good coach who can/is willing to explain things & know the WHYs of your training. Never, EVER let your response to “why do you do that?” Be “oh idk so and so does it so I just do it”. Learn, improve, don’t take an ig influencers word as truth without at least looking into it first & find what works best for YOU individually.
