Sapphires // It’s so important to understand the whole supply chain from mining to cutting when it comes to stones. For example stones can be ethically mined and then cut with unethical labor elsewhere (a light bulb went off as this was explained to me), so its crucial for us to ask questions about their entire history when sourcing stones. I love knowing for a fact that these stones are ethically and sustainably sourced. I can follow their entire journey from the moment they are found in the earth to the moment they reach my hands, and watch as they make their way into a piece of 14-18k gold melted down from the motherboards of recycled technology. From recycled water to restoring top soil (a post for another time that I think you’ll find fascinating), the process from start to finish is sustainable. 🌎🌱@bayouwithlove
