Rest In Power to my beautiful big sister in the movement Nehanda Abiodun. She past last week and her homegoing ceremony was in Harlem today. Nehanda helped Assata Shakur get to Cuba and stayed with her there. Nehanda took care of my team and I whenever we were in Havana. She gave us lessons, love and life with every utterance. She understood that hiphop was social justice and she dedicated much of her life to showcasing the beauty of hiphop, connecting the music with the movement. She is our warrior queen and we love her.
