@アレキサンダー・ワン might not have had a show during Fall 2019 #NYFW, but he was very much present. Between a party at his Soho store and another at the Rainbow Room, the Wang spirit was unmissable.
The designer used the gathering of fashion folks in NYC to celebrate his Asian heritage, something he’s renewed the focus on in his namesake brand, using Chinese symbols in his “collection 1” shown in June, and riffing on the idea of the hustle that gets you to the American dream in his “collection 2” show in December, and is continuing to promote in his off-the-runway events too.
