Legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at age 85.
The Chanel designer, who the fashion brand says reinvented iconic styles like the Chanel jacket and the little black dress, died following a short illness.
In a statement, Chanel called Lagerfeld an “extraordinary creative individual.”
But the praise doesn’t stop there. Well-known figures in the world of high fashion have paid tribute to the late designer, calling him a “creative genius” and remembering his “incredible talent and endless inspiration.”
