#BehindTheShot with #CanonExplorerOfLight Barbara Davidson @photospice: "A close friend of mine, who lives in Dallas, Texas, has the most beautiful 5-year-old red headed identical twin girls. I’ve wanted to photograph them since they were born – which might have something to do with one of the most iconic twin photos ever made by one of my heroes, Diane Arbus. So, when I was recently on assignment in Dallas we make it happen. When the twins father, Bunk Vroom, asked me what they should wear we walked over to their closet and he picked out the matching X-O dresses – PERFECT I thought. Now these little girls – I still can’t tell who is Sabine and who is Sloane, are the most delicious little tomboys ever so getting them to stay still for a picture is not so easy as they would rather be climbing trees. During our backyard photo negotiations, the girls mentioned they had their own matching pink cameras and that they would like to take my picture too. So, I said let’s do it – it also happened to be the only way to get them together for our 5-minute shoot. I think the results worked out better than I had envisioned. Moral of the story is, sometimes the most creative tips come from the youngest of subjects – so listen to what they have to say." Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
