Somehow, every Laureus World Sports Awards just gets better and better. I’ve been an ambassador since 2015, and to be inducted into the Academy as the youngest member ever is beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much to @laureussport for this opportunity. I cannot wait to continue to change the world through sport, just like the Yuwa Organization in Jharkhand, India is doing every single day. In their town, there is a childhood marriage rate of 60% and a women’s illiteracy rate of 45%. Yuwa gives young girls the chance to use soccer to develop courage, confidence, and a voice to choose the paths for their own lives. These four young women are now coaches in the program, and are using the money the make to pay for an education for themselves and attend the Yuwa all girl’s school. It was such an honor presenting them with their award and getting to know their beautiful souls. This is what sport is all about?
