WARNING: expanding the mind and ones perception of a "comfortable life" comes with being called crazy or woke. If you believe your actions, mannerisms, speech, thought process, or perception on life has not been dictated by outside influences... then this is not for you. But to those who have the slightest doubt that even a sliver of who they are is not really them, but what they feels they must be for others to feel comfortable; or who they must be to get respect/attention/their own comfort. I ask a simple question. Who is is the programmer and who is getting programmed? As a White looking Mexican American who doesn't act, dress, or talk like others would like him to; I embrace living outside of societies preconceived labels given to those in different classes, regions of the world, and skin tones. Yet I still struggle in defining who I am due to years of societies programming. I have a multitude of people who I admire for different reasons. Those reasons being, they all have at least one quality that I would like to have myself. To my understanding the whole point of inclusion is to learn from one another and build off each others best qualities. Culture is preserved through expansion not exclusivity. So the next time you see a black guy talkin "too white", a white guy actin "too black", a woman acting "too masculine", a man acting "too feminine",etc... let them be them. They have clearly been influenced in a way they see fits them better. They do not need to make you feel comfortable. That rides entirely on how you see yourself and who's programming you. #InvestInYourself #ReprogramYourMind #TakeControlOfYourLife #YoureWorthIt
