I’d like to express myself following my recent show. First of all, I‘m deeply sorry to anyone whose feelings I unintentionally have hurt. I am a man of my principles and I take my responsibilities seriously. I am committed to learn from this so that this never happens again.
Those who know me well or who know my work will understand that any references I have used in my collections have never been driven by negativity. This is not at my core. I take inspirations from life as I love it, in all of its beautiful forms. This collection was born from a very positive place. Throughout my life I have always fought for diversity, for sexuality, for people of colour, for women’s rights, for all genders, and for inclusivity. And I consider myself a world citizen and I’ve been raised in a loving family who taught me how to love and respect everyone around me.

I listen, I learn, I improve and I believe in the power of love.

telurian1 Why don’t you design clothing with swasticas? For those uneducated and bigoted people out there let’s spell it all: swasticas are anti-Semitic symbols. A symbol of hatred and ignorance. In the same manner a noose is a symbol of hatred and racism. These symbols have nothing whatsoever to do with so-called “political correctness” but have everything to do with the fact that words and symbols matter. Respect matters. Respect towards the fact that these symbols when used can hurt because of the history behind these symbols: the history of genocide and holocausts. Again words and symbols matter in art and in life!

jasonivey4 And it is sad to see so many ppl defending this instead of acknowledging the mistake and encouraging situations like this to be better... NO ONE in his corner believed to offer insight? Or is the story about the model who was initially led to wear this; mentioned how defensive this was and the designer laughed it off and told her to stop being so sensitive??? I thank his real friends who kept him honest and i hope your intentions were honorable at the end of the day. Please consider sharing your thoughts to why this inspired you. It may help tremendously.

ajmac4929 The problem Is the Lack of diversity in your executive and design teams. We see you traveling the world w a diverse group of people but look around your corporate world and do you really surround yourself with a diverse work team? Probably not if this horrible and insensitive design went thru production and into the runway!

jasonivey4 @riccardotisci17 sir, i don't believe in jumping to the conclusion that things were done in malicious attempts. However, i am honestly trying to find the positive side in using the noose when nothing positive occurs in using it???

blaack.dmnndz It’s literally a rope around that girls fucking neck in a hanging style. You can’t just do stuff and give out a mediocre half assed apologize later. Thanks for showing your true colors though greatly appreciated.
