Even the @NASAHubble Space Telescope gets by with a little help from its friends. ? Through the hand of science, this galactic masterpiece is the product of teamwork between our space telescope and its celestial subjects, a phenomenon known as gravitational lensing.
When a large object — such as a massive cluster of galaxies, as seen here — distorts space with its huge gravitational field, it causes light from more distant galaxies to travel along altered and warped paths. ✨
Look at the two dominant elliptical galaxies near the center of this image. Do you see the curved streaks of light surrounding both of the large galaxies? The effect you’re seeing is the product of lensing!

@schindlbeck23 You are PreMed and don’t believe in science..? Glad I’m not in Colorado. Go back to public school bud. The world is an oblate spheroid. Wake up. Try harder, don’t expect anyone or anything to have your back, especially not your god. Imagine this: If you want to be a doctor, eventually you will work long and hard and find you are exhausted after barely saving someone. You are proud but the family then says “oh thank God” in front of you. Like a god was the one who worked hard for years in school and stayed up many nights and lost relationships to further your career to save that person? No credit to you. How will you feel?
This saddens me.
I hope the next generation can be raised with more basic education and less paranoia, but also more pride in themselves to know that THEY are the reason they are amazing in their jobs and lives. Give yourself more credit ✌️

How much does nasa know about strange quark and strange matter . I believe strange matter might ruin anything it touches and turns it into strange quark too.

Okay, this is weird. I believe earth was globe, but how the hell you guys took picture from a super-massive galaxy?
