Today I leave these guys for five months to go start a new job. It’s always hard. You are torn between the excitement of work and the heavy realization that life goes on without you. The boys will grow and go through ups and downs, tara will be left to handle things all on her own and I will be in another state doing my thing. I will miss them all like crazy. Hopefully I can make it home to visit and they can come see me for the summer but we are at the mercy of schedules and life and timing. There’s so much unknown in the film industry. It’s a gypsy lifestyle that isn’t for everyone, you never know where you will be or when you will be there. Luckily I have an amazing wife who’s ride or die and takes care of those boys like no other. I know these are Champaign problems bc my job also happens to be me doing what I love and getting to go after my dream but it still doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Thank you @thegallnertribe for all that you do and for giving those boys so much love and care. I wouldn’t be able to do it without you. Albuquerque... let’s do this.

Awe man, I couldn’t imagine five months without my family! That’s rough, but if they’re ride or die and Ma holds it down, the time will pass quickly!! I live in Santa Fe, 45 minutes north of Albuquerque and I can say, there’s a lot of fun family things to do around here, like clifs amusement park, the zoo + biopark, the rodeo, or meow wolf. It gets so beautiful in the spring + summertime, there’s a lot of badass hikes around too like the Sandia mountains or Tent Rocks. I definitely would recommend bringing the fam out (there’s a lot of funky and fun Airbnbs around) to visit you when it’s possible, they’d love it!

Support systems & as much Communication as humanly possible. Get them out to NM a few times and wether your there or not they’ll be having amazing travel style experience based around your work and they’ll associate that with you and your job. 🙌🏼❤️🔥👊🏼

That’s very tough man but keep in mind, some of the absence is worth your boys seeing how to go after dreams and live them. Sacrifice now for a better tomorrow! Safe travels brother!
