??❤️ . #Repost @womenshistory with @download_repost ・・・ The National Women's History Museum is so fortunate to have the support of our ambassadors, all of whom have helped us spread the word about our mission to tell women's stories. This month, we'd like to shine a light on one of those ambassadors, @briannabrownkeen. Brianna is our Ambassador Chair—she has worked with the Museum for more than five years. You might know her from her show Dynasty on The CW—she is also a new mom, and is the founding leader of the nonprofit The New Hollywood, an organization "dedicated to supporting socially conscious storytellers and changemakers." This month, we connected with her about her personal dedication to women's history, and to learn a little about the women who inspire her. Read more about her favorite #HistoryMaker below: "My favorite #HistoryMaker is First Partner of California Jennifer Siebel Newsom. I’ve known Jen for years. I met her before she started The Representation Project and before she produced and directed MissRepresentation (@missrepresentation) , The Mask You Live In and other socially conscious documentaries she’s helped give her time and energy to. I knew her before she was a mother of four and before she was married to Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. Jen is a #HistoryMaker to me because she leads by example, turned pain into passion and purpose, and without knowing it she inspired me to break my own glass ceilings of what was possible. She did this by shining brightly, by being inclusive, by being of service and by being dedicated to kindness and justice. If you don’t follow Jen (@jennifersiebelnewsom ) and The Representation Project (@therepproject ) I highly recommend you start. Oh, and the Museum nominated her years ago too!"
