sorrysoselfish I have a hard to match PALE skintone. I tend to buy eastern Asian face cosmetics because I can find a match easier with their undertones. I don't expect every brand in the world to have a tone that matches me. No brand can match everyone. I literally knowo no one personally in the USA who uses this brands makeup (skincare, yes). Does it really need to be a huge thing that an ethnically Japanese brand made ethnically Japanese shades? Can't we focus on giant Western brands not even knowing how different races wash their hair?

hellojuliagraf These comments are so ridiculous. Shu Uemura is a Japanese brand catering largely to an East Asian market. Have you ever been to these countries? They are extremely homogeneous and not racially diverse societies. USA is not their prime market. I’m willing to bet their US market share is very small in comparison to their market share in Japan. I totally understand why their shade range is what it is. Be happy that there are brands catering specifically to Asian skintones and their unique undertones!

tea_and_socks Here’s the thing...if they don’t have your shade, they obviously don’t want to market towards you, nor do they want you as a customer. They won’t fix something they don’t care about.
