I was backstage w/my dude @deoncole recently. He was writing notes for his show then stopped suddenly & asked, “nigga, how many hoodies do you have!??” We laughed like a MF ?. Then I thought about why I wear so many hoodies & hats... fear. Fear of not fitting in, fear of feeling vulnerable, fear of not being accepted. I guess covering my head is my “protection”. My cocoon. Like when we were kids & having the blanket pulled over our head felt like the safest place in the world. My introverted-ness personified... The other reason is I have big ears that get cold fast. Such is life ??‍♂️????
