@quincydjones is my big brother and probably one of the greatest inspirations in my life. I have immeasurable love, respect and gratitude for the mentoring he gave me over the years. I feel so blessed that Quincy let me into his world as a young man just starting out in the entertainment business and treated me as a friend. No one I have ever met has as much talent, heart and generosity of spirit than Q! From his stories about #LaloSchifrin in Argentina with #DizzyGillespie to sharing his friendship with #Director #HalAshby to inviting me to the late Chairman of #WarnerBros #SteveRoss house and introducing me to #RobertDeniro and #StevenSpielberg as a kid right out of film school.....no one I have ever come across in this business has been as generous and giving of his time, constant advice, love and all without wanting anything in return, completely selfless! And I know it wasn’t just me he helped along the way but probably hundreds more. Being a scrappy Jewish kid from #MiamiBeach and having #QuincyJones as a friend gave me all the confidence in the world and made me realize my dreams could become realities and that nothing was impossible. If Quincy had an idea whether it was a record, a film, or one of his many philanthropic endeavors he made it happen. Nothing ever got in his way and I appreciate him for setting an example for so many people and showing us the way up a very difficult ladder, and at the same time being the greatest father, artist, humanitarian and just all around exceptional example of a gracious humble man and a beautifully soulful human being! I love u Q and always will.
