@visitmelbourne took “pretty in pink” to a whole new level ? @seekinglara was delighted to see #PortMelbourne’s #WestgatePark in pink, as she has “always wanted to see a pink lake” since coming to #Australia. This vibrant colour isn’t permanent though, as this natural phenomenon usually only happens with the right mix of high salt levels, hot weather and pigment-producing algae; the water can go back to its normal colour any time. The lake is just a 20-minute drive from the CBD; grab a classic #Melbourne coffee at the nearby @hudsonscoffee or enjoy a waterfront feast at @pier35barandgrill on your way there.
