Many things have happened lately and I have an urge to express my thoughts on these matters. First it was the New York Fashion Week. I have seen some label’s runways and street style is dominating the show, designers are infusing different kinds of clothing material such as chiffon and feather to enhance layering effect. I also noticed the color palette is much brighter and vivid comparing to last year’s overall display. Tailoring wise, a more girlish design pattern making dresses neat and stylish. Through my years working in the fashion and design industry, I have developed my own perspective and sense of what is fashion. But still I wish I had studied in a prestigious institute where minds are connected together to ignite greater sparks. Good news is that I have finally found my favorite university to study in - The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Now all I need is time, an abundant amount of time to study there and condense old and new knowledge into something more, in-depth. Did you notice my @belstaff coat? I have been wearing it almost everyday and just love it! Lots of surprises in this year’s Oscar. Olivia Colman looked fabulous in her Prada dress and in the interview Miuccia Prada said:”Clothes, ultimately, are at the service of who wears them and what they want to portray of themselves, so to be part of this special moment for Olivia is very exciting.” This concept has been on my mind for years and she genuinely summarized it into one sentence. The most touched moment must be Lady Gaga’s speech. “It's about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.” I always thought when I’m working on something, I must exert 100 percent of energy to make it perfect while still enjoy the whole process. Now that I look back for a minute, it has been already 28 years. The momentum that I have generated during these years has pushed me autonomously from time to time and, the experiences from these years have also constructed how I perceive the world and what is fashionable. Insist on your own ideas, walk towards your goal, it’s as simple as that. In this ever changing boundless universe, I think I should give myself a gentle smile.
