I hope you knew - and really felt - how brilliant you were. We saw you at our first ever rave (Big Day Out, Melbourne around 1999). You were a massive influence on us, being one of the reasons we moved to the UK actually! May you be resting up there or, forever making those cutting edge tracks that shape the landscape of music. Isn't success a strange curse... where do you go when you've seen the top ? I've been reading that you were frustrated that today's dance music has become so safe. We get it. Compared to the ceative explosion of @theprodigyofficial it definitely does seem less "out there" today... but maybe that's just our perspective having lived through your creative explosion. I really hope your frustration with the business wasn't a reason for your suicide. It's hard for anyone in any aspect of life to feel less relevant (or whatever we want to call it), but let us remind ourselves that no life is straight line. There is growth in pain... Ultimately we are being forced to evolve and grow through struggle, rejection, whatever it is... A reminder to anyone feeling those curvy roads to hold on and wait for the better view to appear around the corner. ? RIP legend Keith Flint

The prodigy took music and threw it in the bin. Then created MUSIC as we now know it. Without the prodigy we would probably never have had the likes of linkin park, enter shikari etc as the prodigy stood up to genre and threw them all in a pot. Would any other artists be brave enough to mess with genre? To be honest their last few times have sounded the same to me and not really listened but in the early days they were unique. Keith was probably right about today's music. Today's music doesn't stand out it's all very sedate and I suppose as a producer it is hard to be experimental when today's youth is very guided. They need stability and "the norm". I too would be frustrated if I had been a massive influence when music was finding it's feet only to be shoved out if the game by shit like Gucci game Gucci game Gucci game. Can't remember the rest of the words. Oh yeah Gucci game. RIP Keith flint. You can rest easy knowing that you did your bit, a massive bit for worldwide music
