Memories of precious Luke - He played my son back in 2012. We joked I was a child bride. I felt safe with him.
The summer heat averaged 115 all day long in Whitewright TX; crew were dropping like flies.
The production thought it would be nice to have Luke and me stay away from everyone in a rambling air-conditioned lodge in the middle of nowhere, decorated with a plethora of animal heads nailed to the walls. The Shining, Texas-style.
An outside dog on his last legs became our mission. We brought him in to the cool and gave him water and our food from catering. We named him Buddy. He was so grateful to lay on the stone floor all day, and at the foot of either of our beds at night. Luke knew Buddy wasn’t long for this world, and when we departed, we cried.
So when I awoke to the news this morning....it’s taken me all day to find my words...the only comfort I have is knowing Buddy was there waiting for Luke at Heaven’s gate. Buddy and our dear brother in love Bill Paxton, who also played a part in #RedWingMovie.

maraisjolie I just cannot believe it. Stunned does not suffice. Heartbroken does not suffice. With the loss of every beautiful human, our collective existence breathes a sigh of sadness in knowing nothing will ever be the same without them. We need to be more loving and kinder because we are not written a blank check in this life. Losing Luke is a reminder of how incredibly fragile life really is and I think we all forget that sometimes. Love to you Sharon, and Frances. What a beautiful post. ♥️
