Even though it’s after 8 o’clock the traffic makes it one hour from Venice to Encino.
Our car is higher than most on the road and as far as I can see forwards and backwards- a river of red tail lights.
But you look so beautiful in red. Like a movie I don’t want to see end~
I never understood people who didn’t think traffic was romantic. There’s so much beauty in having to wait

mel_buss Hey I know you probably won’t see this BUT I just wanted to say that I saw strength and resilience with your lyrics in Cola and Ultraviolence. Manipulation and violence against women still perpetuates, even in the age of me too. I always thought your lyrics in these songs were feminist, taking power away from the perpetrator and adding a new, perhaps controversial perspective from the victim herself. Singing these songs is not sweeping the issues of sexual violence and manipulation under the rug. Rather, it’s bringing them out to the forefront. Offering a new perspective, that is perhaps uncomfortable but is not in the least offensive or condoning such actions. I think that these songs are quintessential to our story as women. “He hit me and it felt like a kiss.” - powerful, emotive lyrics that relate to the experience of many who are stuck in the cycle of abuse. Please don’t shy away from these songs. They have so much power to keep the conversation going. Cola, for example, I took as the woman utilizing the manipulative power of an older man “Harvey” to get where SHE wants. She plays her part in it, knowing full well what he’s doing and she takes advantage of that. The girl in this song to me is not the one being SWINDLED, it’s him. Anyways huge fan, love ya and all u do. These are just my thoughts tht have been brewing in my mind for a while with a few statements of yours that I read. ❤️

lindababydoll I would have to agree. Why be upset when u live in a place where most ppl want to live, which is LA(u) & San Diego(me) I embrace it all! Especially the Beaches!
