The next Cartier or the next Harry WInston! As a young designer I sought the advice of old schoolers who’ve made it big in the luxury sector. Time and time again all I would hear is “Entertainment & Hip Hop jewelers don’t represent true luxury” or “these type of celebrity customers and the culture that comes with them will kill your brand”. Well, we listened, BUT we did not follow!!! It was THIS CULTURE that truly embraced me as a person from the very beginning and it is THIS CULTURE that has allowed us to grow our brand and open stores world wide right next to the same luxury giants we aimed to be like. A few years ago I met @virgilabloh (still don’t know him very well) and I saw this bracelet on his wrist. Last March, Virgil was named Director of Louis Vuitton Menswear and last month his collection marked, in my mind, a MASSIVE shift in power! The CULTURE that was once shunned upon has not only been accepted but is now a major influence behind the entire luxury sector as a whole! This bracelet I made for myself is not only a testament to you @Virgilabloh , but also a testament to the CULTURE as a whole and what it has meant to me personally and our brand. .......
