Thank you to the women who fought before us, the ones whose names we know and the ones we don’t... ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊?Thank you to those who continue to fight for equality.... Thank you to my black and brown sisters who fight for inclusive feminism ✊?✊?✊?... because fighting racism and/or religious persecution AND sexism is no joke... To our white sister allies... we see you and thank you too. We just need more of you. Thank you to my LGBTQ+ women, trans women, non gender conforming friends who put themselves in danger to fight for the rights of their own communities as well as others... ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊? because fighting homophobia, transphobia etc AND sexism is NO JOKE. Thank you to the women who fight for women’s health care, equal pay and equal opportunities... and against body facism and sexist beauty standards I SEE YOU AND THANK YOU ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊? Thank you to the women all over the world fighting to elevate women and girls in their own communities and others’ where the movement for women’s rights is not as far along as it is in other places. You are pioneers and we see you ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊? To the women who write books, give talks, set up programmes, educate, empower and create platforms for women... I thank you...✊?✊?✊?✊?✊? Thank you to the brave survivors of sexual assault telling their stories and saying NO MORE. ✊?✊?✊?✊?✊? We see you and believe you. And just thank you to the women in my life that I speak to and see on a day to day basis who hold me up always. My mum, my sister, my Nan, my colleagues, my friends...
