To celebrate this day here’s a portrait of Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797), a writer and extraordinary thinker who is considered to be one of the pioneers of modern feminism.✨
I’ve recently had the opportunity to scratch the surface of her deeply transformative work, mostly ‘A Vindication of the Rights of Woman’, and I’m amazed especially by her courage, wisdom and compassion with which she fought for equal rights for women at a time when it was still very radical.✨
I’m grateful for everyone who works towards a more equal world. ?? Much has improved since the 18th century and much is still to be done! ????‍♀️ #femaleinspiration #marywollstonecraft #womensday
