Soooo, I wanted to be an Olympic gymnast at the age of 5. I told EVERYONE. I was confident/ borderline cocky & ironic enough, I was actually not that good at gymnastics. I told strangers that they were going to see me competing on the big stage one day. I was a dreamer (still am). I had no fear of failure, no doubts, I didn’t care what anyone thought of me or my dream & I had absolutely no idea how hard it was actually going to be... but I did it!!!!
There were the lowest of the low days, injury days, days where I got a new skill, days where I was invincible & days where I couldn’t make anything. The only consistent thing about my gymnastics journey was the unwavering belief I had in myself & my dream. THAT is the lesson that somehow came easy to me as a kid & seemed to only get harder as I grew up. Don’t forget that little girl inside of you. She is & YOU ARE stronger, smarter, grittier, & more unbelievable than you think you are. ??.
