? JUST ANNOUNCED: contemporary painter, silhouettist, printmaker, installation artist and filmmaker Kara Walker is set to create the 2019 Hyundai Commission in Tate Modern's Turbine Hall!

Kara Walker fearlessly tackles some of the most complex issues we face today. From drawings, prints, shadow puppets and projections to large-scale sculptural installations, Walker's work addresses history and identity with a powerful directness, but also with great understanding, nuance and wit. Her new site-specific work for the Turbine Hall will open 2 October 2019. @kara_walker_official ?
