okayyy so... I’ve been struggling with this news on the low with my family for a couple weeks now. the last thing you wanna hear at 11pm is , “grandpa had a heart attack! come to the hospital now! ” my heart sank so rapidly to my stomach when I heard the news. The first thing he tells me on the phone as he’s in his hospital bed, “ Dinah are we still on for our trip to Tonga? Let’s go play golf tomorrow!” So casual like he didn’t just almost ?... (lol I’m so wrong for this emoji) but I can’t stand how much of a die hard my grandpa truly is. long story short, he experienced his first heart attack, had open heart surgery and currently is in recovery. Thank God ?? he’s healthy and well rested at home with all his 24+ grandkids visiting, singing to him their favorite tunes, & begging to take shifts on being his nurse. I forget. As we’re getting older, so are our elders. Let us remind ourselves the value of family, the delicate time we have with them, and the power of prayer. I will say it is in the power of prayer Heavenly Father did hear my families cry and granted us another chance with him. Ofa lahi atu papa ♥️ we have so much more memories to make. now let’s check off that bucket list you got old man x
