When I first learned balayage I was always told that in order to cover grey, refresh a base color AND add balayage you HAD to do it in two separate processes...but who’s got time for that??
Make it a one stop shop and get it done way faster by doing it all at once! Mind. Blown. 🤯

First, touch up roots with desired shade. Then work through the hair by alternately refreshing the base and painting on balayage pieces.
Bonus Tip: 👉 Make sure to comb through the section you are about to paint. This will make for a smoother surface with less chance of spotting.
I used @wellahairusa Magma /17 & 40 volume. Love it because it gives an extra layer of control because it tones as you lighten. Plus the texture is smooth and great for painting! 🙌
