Bruiser’s family.’ It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news of my stage puppy Chico’s passing. Chico and I developed and opened ‘Legally Blonde The Musical’ on Broadway and did over 450 shows side by side. He was a truly brilliant dog, and the beginning of my life long love of Chihuahuas. I had the opportunity to assist in the training of him so he knew I would keep him safe on stage, and we would have sleepovers to bond. He’d sleep on my chest as I read books or watched tv. I’ve never seen a dog pick up tricks that quickly. One of my favorite moments during the show was when Chico took his bow at the curtain call. Chico was found as a pup on the streets of Newark, NJ and had been badly abused. Before @berlonitheatricalanimals adopted him at The Newark Humane Society he was set for euthanasia.... but instead, he became a Broadway Star. Love you forever, sweet boy.
