Thank you Muterian❤️❤️❤️❤️ ・・・ Reposted from @sheldricktrust - #tbt, October 2012: On an otherwise normal October evening, a community on the border of Amboseli National Park heard a commotion by the Lemoyian Well. At sunrise, a local livestock owner named Muterian discovered the source of the noise: a mother elephant desperately trying to free her calf, who had fallen into the watering hole. He reported the situation, but in the meantime, cattle began converging at the well, and the mother was forced to leave the scene. Muterian stayed with the baby until help arrived, single-handedly chasing off a group of youths who wanted to spear him — and it’s thanks to him that Lemoiyan (as we named him) is alive today. After the three-month-old calf was all settled in at our Nursery, Muterian came by to visit him and learn more about our work.
