I’ve been at a loss for what I want to say. To non-Muslims and those that are not directly targeted by a culture of white supremacy (white people), we must recognize how our own actions and inactions normalize white supremacy. And when I say white supremacy, I do not mean people who identify as such, but a culture in which whiteness is seen as the default, and which makes every other identity an other. This is the foundation from which all anti-Muslim racism exists. If we are not noticing the ways in which we minimize or are indifferent to many acts of anti-Muslim racism, we will unconsciously suppose the the foundations of the white supremacist period pictured above. # If you are not NOTICING white supremacy, you are NORMALIZING white supremacy.
